MARDI GRAS:    The big day has arrived and Willy Wonka along with his Oompa Loompas and chocolate factory guests are here in the school Mardi Gras TODAY LUNCHTIME!!! Get your golden tickets and coins ready and have fun!!!

 

Bins will be around Mardi Gras for recycling of food waste and recycling.  Pls make the most of these. Write your name on these and be in the draw to win prizes.

 

Still have some Wall hangings.  Can you please collect them asap. Mrs O’Sullivan F6

 

Artsfest:  Well done to the super talented committee for an arty 3 months.  Many pieces of artwork sold however if yours did not please collect Junior work from Mrs O’Sullivan and senior work from Mrs Johnston.  Cheques for sold work will be available shortly.

 

Everyone pls attend sectionals this week to learn the new piece for Thursday’s rehearsal.

 

International Food Day is this Fri 10 Sept on the International Block Deck! Be there to buy amazing foods from countries worldwide.

YEAR 13: YEARBOOK OPPORTUNITY IS STILL BECKONING! Reminder that photos are being taken for the Yearbook every interval & lunchtime this week (except Wed) in D4 – see Hollie Proctor & Jessica Rolls. At the same time, make sure you have also picked up your form – it MUST be completed & returned to Hollie (HND) or Jessica (HRF) by the end of term.

 

 

Sport

 

Canoe Polo and Kayaking—all students interested in learning these sports or who already play these sports for TGC please come to a meeting in the gym foyer at the start of lunchtime on Fri.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Equestrian team: Two events coming up in term 4: Mounted Games and Show Jumping. If interested in either or both of these please come to a meeting Thursday Interval in J112.

 

Junior Social Volleyball: All year 9 and 10 students wishing to play in the Tauranga Competition commencing Term 4, please pick up a registration letter from the Sports Office.  Teams of 8 players.  Entries close Wed 15 Sept.  See Ms Patete if you would like to be placed in a team.

 

Junior Competitive Volleyball:  Reminder that all fees need to be paid by Wed 15 Sept.  All girls that trialed, please check the team lists in the foyer as 2 new teams have been created.  See Ms Patete for a consent letter.

 

TGC Tiger has not been returned to the sports office. If you have it or know who does please return it to the sports office.

 

Touch - Yr 9 and 10 only. Social Touch at Tauranga Boys’ College Fridays. Collect information from Sports office.

 

Ski Team:  Please come to a meeting on THURS lunchtime in the old gym, it is crucial that you ALL attend as Miss Kelton will be giving you important information about the trip.

 

Y9B Competitive Volleyball Team: You have training Fri in the Sports Hall.  Please be prompt and get changed straight away.

Queenstown Resort College is holding an information evening on Tues 14 Sept 6.30pm at Sebel Trinity Wharf. Their programmes are Hospitality management, Adventure Tourism Management and Adventure Tourism Management specialising in Snowboard Business Management.
